The City of Vancouver’s Anti-Litter Campaign

The City of Vancouver acts on behalf of the more than 600,000 residents of British Columbia’s largest city, including working with Council, residents, businesses, and various levels of government to implement The Greenest City Action Plan to put Vancouver at the forefront of urban sustainability.

Point A: The City of Vancouver wanted a custom campaign to address the problem of littering in the city and educate the public about the proper disposal of waste.

Point B: Working closely with the City’s Department of Corporate Communications, we:

  • developed and presented a number of campaign options
  • advised on the campaign media buy
  • created assets required to fulfill the media buy, including custom illustrations and graphic design
  • produced the animation, including illustration, scripting, voice over, and sound/music
  • developed guerrilla style marketing concepts
  • executed a community engagement campaign, including hiring, training, and managing street teams
  • created a cut-out prop and a corresponding social media promotional contest
