How long have you been working with The Beacon Design Collective?
I’ve been working with the team since back in 2016. I was just about to start my Education Assistant course and wasn’t exactly actively job searching. The opportunity seemed too good to pass up, so I went for it. It continues to be a rewarding experience each and every day.
What do you do for the company and in what circumstances would a client come to you for something?
I am the administrative assistant/bookkeeper/social media manager/production designer/”anything-you-need-off-your-plate” girl. No shift is ever the same for me. For someone who loves routine, it comes as a surprise that I love the unpredictability of my position.
Clients often come to me when they have questions about onboarding, invoicing, online advertising, work plan dates, or any other general administrative stuff. Any task that’s too tedious or meticulous often appears on my desk, as well.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?
Someone I know once said that people who sit at a desk all day are lazy. I can assure you, my mind is definitely working hard each and every day!
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I have an insane nail polish collection (probably over 300 bottles now, yikes!). And no, I haven’t worn them all yet …
