As our Client Strategist and Account Manager, Matt serves as the vital link between our clients and our delivery team. His role involves advocating for clients and their audiences, ensuring their needs and goals are met with precision and creativity. He is also our in-house wordsmith, handling all things related to strategic messaging and communication.

Matt’s journey as a strategist, copywriter, and copyeditor has endowed him with an exceptional attention to detail and a deep understanding of project evolution—from initial concept to final execution. His experience across various industries has equipped him with a nuanced perspective on communication challenges and opportunities, making him an invaluable asset to our team.

Personal Philosophy: Matt believes in the power of actions over words. He emphasizes that who he is matters less than what he accomplishes through his work. His dedication to letting his work speak for itself defines his commitment to excellence and authenticity.

As Matt’s favorite author, Thompson’s fearless and thought-provoking approach to writing and life resonates deeply with him. A Bit About Matt’s Background

Matt started his professional journey as an education consultant, focusing on helping international students enhance their language skills and excel in arts, law, and health sciences. His 18 years in this field were marked by dedication to guiding students through the intricacies of educational systems in Canada and the U.S.

Transitioning to copywriting and content strategy, Matt applied his expertise to the population and public health, government, and nonprofit sectors. Since joining Beacon in 2013, Matt has played a crucial role in managing key accounts, consistently delivering high-quality strategic and creative solutions.

Matt holds a degree in English Literature and a diploma in Journalism, combining a solid academic foundation with practical experience.
